The Department of Marketing, Business Economics & Law is accepting applications for a full-time Academic Teaching Staff position for a 3-year term appointment beginning July 1, 2025.
Reporting to the Chair, the position will include the following responsibilities:
• Teach a diverse set of Business Economics courses (8 sections) to undergraduate and graduate students, including introductory and elective course in Managerial Economics, International Business (International Trade and Finance), Energy Economics, Environmental Economics, Real Estate, Urban Economics, Government and Business in Canada, Data Analytics (Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence) in Business Economics, and Strategic Procurement.
• Prepare course syllabi, course materials, assignments, exams, and assign grades.
• Evaluate student performance progress and provide appropriate and timely feedback according to department protocols.
• Remain abreast with relevant literature in business economics and analytics as it applies to their teaching resources and activities
• Participate in department activities including business economics seminars and conferences
• Develop curriculum and material for business economics courses
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in economics or another related field combined with teaching and business sector experience. A PhD or Master's degree in economics is not required but will be considered an asset. Sufficient knowledge of statistics and mathematical programming to teach seminars to undergraduate and graduate students is an asset.
