As a member of the senior academic team, the next Dean will be a bold and visionary change agent with a strong service orientation and communication skills. The ideal candidate will bring a successful track record in administrative leadership roles within a research-intensive university. The Dean will have a research and teaching record consistent with appointment as a Full Professor at SFU in the Beedie School. An engaging and strategic leader, they will inspire students, faculty, staff, donors, alumni, industry, and other partners to support the evolution of the School’s vision and reinforce its unique culture and community. The Dean will build upon the values SFU places on ethical and social responsibility, Indigenization, decolonization, and Truth & Reconciliation, with a track record that demonstrates principles of equity and diversity, and a proven record of promoting inclusive excellence in all its forms. A relationship builder, the Dean will meaningfully engage internally and externally ensuring SFU Beedie continues to offer leading-edge, transformative learning opportunities that develop globally minded leaders of the future.

In accordance with BC’s Pay Transparency Act, the expected base salary range for this role is $300,000-$375,000 per year.
